RUN N GUN 2026 AWARDS Jury

Hudson Williams

Most people know Hudson for his incredible performance as Shane Hollander on the Canadian taxpayer-funded Heated Rivalry. We know him as someone who's participated in every one of our competitions since 2021, starting with Super Support. Most of the weirdest videos on his digital footprint are courtesy of our equally weird competitions.

Hudson has directed two Shits N Giggles-winning films—Buttons and Soakers—so he's more than qualified to judge you all. We're beyond stoked to have him giving back to our little festival.

We freaking love you, Hudson.

Mayumi Yoshida

After an iconic breakout year with her massively successful debut feature Akashi, an SXSW-winning music video, and a long list of incredible projects, Mayumi is back and ready to judge you all.

She previously won Best Film at our beloved (and sadly cancelled) Blood N Guts competition with Trim, and has been part of several of our competitions over the years. We're thrilled to have her back.

Jess McLeod

Jess McLeod is so much more than the breakout child star from Scary Movie 4. They've been crushing it as an actor in recent projects like Normal and AMC's The Audacity, while also making waves as a filmmaker with shorts like DTF and She's Nonbinary.

On top of all that, Jess competed in the very first Run N Gun and has continued to pop in and out of the festival over the past 11 years.

Daniel Doheny

Daniel has starred in multiple Netflix films, earned a Leo Award for Adventures in Public School, and co-created the beloved series Human Town—which seriously needs to come back because we miss it.

He's been winning awards for his filmmaking since high school, when he was competing in 48-hour film competitions. Hell, he even played ‘George Lucas’ in Tarantino’s 10th at last year’s gala. He's geared up and ready to judge your work.

Jenn Maxwell

Jenn is a professional hater.

After earning her film degree from Capilano University, she decided to stop making films and start judging the people who do. She's spent the better part of the last decade working as a film and culture critic, with more than 100 published pieces to her name.

She's basically the Simon Cowell of this jury.
